I took a course that my parents only liked and I started working at an early age to help my parents finance my studies. On the side, I took a short course in Graphic Design because it is my true passion.
My first official full-time job was after my daughter turned one. I realized that I have to get a better job where I am qualified. That's when I entered the world of BPO. I worked back then as a Circuit Designer for a US-based telco for more than 3 years and I have to endure the 3 hours of commute. Unfortunately aside from the pay is almost not enough, I didn't fully enjoy the work, so I decided to leave even risky on my end.
I applied as a graphic designer even the pay is not that good locally. But I still worked hard because I am eager to get more experience in this field. Sometimes it feels tough, as I need to leave a company when I feel that there is no growth or when a company has to reduce employees due to financial reasons. I somehow got tired of it and with the fact that I have to travel hours every day. So I tried to work remotely for clients overseas, it was not even much of a hype back then. Also seems unacceptable or unusual for my family and to others when they hear that you are doing online work because they think there is no assurance, no government benefits, etc. But I felt more optimistic and pursued and tried my best to gain experience even I get low fees at first.
Today, I've been working remotely for five years at the comfort of my home or where I want to be, getting the right pay, have more time for my family, and managed to work with clients who never looked at my educational background and just believed in my talents and other skills aside from designing.
With these adventures I went through and the knowledge I attained, I felt a call to share this wonderful experience with people who are struggling to manage their time, those who want to pursue their passion but scared to leave their comfort zone, to people who want to have multiple projects at their chosen times, or to people who believe they have potential but feels like they are not noticed locally.
I may not be the best in my field, but I'm here to help people to get their dream job by working remotely where opportunities are endless!
